Children’s and youth travel

We are actively involved in the development of children’s and youth travel programs specializing on content and organization.

Besides lobbying efforts by representation in professional bodies and national associations we provide:

• Consulting and training to improve the quality of children’s and youth travel programs according to principles of intercultural understanding, social and ecological sustainability, as well as physical and mental health and well-being, in each case taking into consideration current youth cultures.
• Facilitating dialogue and networking between individual experts and organizations who otherwise rarely meet, e.g. from the fields of social science and practice, or from official youth organizations and independent initiatives, in order to overcome personal and institutional barriers, to mediate mutual insights and understanding, and to initiate continuous discourse and cooperation.
• Platforms and projects for collaboration and sharing of experiences and mutually enriching ideas for experts, professionals, and volunteers in children’s and youth travel from Germany and partner countries.
• transfer hosts a service office for the “Recreational Travel Evaluation” Project, which developed instruments for self-evaluation of youth camps and internal group exchanges. More information and ordering of instruments at www.freizeitenevaluation.de

In pursuit of these services we organize, support and facilitate joint projects and networks, frequently cooperating with quite different partners, in order to achieve synergy effects from the diversity of perspectives and approaches.
