Training seminars

Each year transfer offers 12 to 15 in-service training seminars in cooperation with IJAB, the International Youth Service of the Federal Republic of Germany. This program has been funded by the Federal Ministry of Youth since 1986, initially under the label of "Model Seminars", and provides high-quality training for multipliers at moderate fees.

Since 1986 our Training Seminars on Youth Travel and International Exchange provides a diverse range of high-quality training programs for large and small non-profit organizations engaged in international children’s and youth travel as well as international youth work. Courses are targeted at experts and facilitators in these fields who are responsible in their organizations as educational managers, trainers, executives, board members, planning advisors, or experienced staff and volunteers.

The Researchers‘ Practitioners‘ Dialogue

The Research-Practice-Dialogue (R-P-D) network coordinates and facilitates interdisciplinary and trans-organizational exchange between scientists and practitioners in the field of international exchanges. From its inception in 1989 the R-P-D has organized conferences, expert hearings and collaboration projects, aimed at improving the quality of youth exchange programs and advising program staff and volunteers. Over time, and with representation of the Federal Youth Ministry in its steering structure, the R-P-D has become a recognized player in research and development in the field of international youth work in Germany, providing inputs with sustainable impact on content, concepts, and constellations of international youth work in this country.

For further information please download the flyer below. The R-P-D website www.forscher-praktiker-dialog.de provides an overview of current and previous activities as well as on cooperation structure.

The Forum is also intended to facilitate professional and personal exchange of information.
